Mr. Obama speach does sound good, but you got to remember there are alot of people who claim to be a christian who really are not. For most of my life I was like that, and I could tell you what the bible says, but never really had a personal relationship with Christ. Though we cannot tell a persons heart and only God can see that, the bible tells us to look at a persons fruit of the spirit. Looking at the polocies that Mr. Obama has and the things he stands for it makes you wonder where his heart is. Im not claiming to be perfect, and know that I don't deserve Christ or Heaven, but through the Mercy of God I have Eternal Life. Its easy to claim Christ, but our actions show if we really know Christ.

Barack Obama for me is the most charismatic president to be ever elected. He also makes great decisions, for example in the ecomomic stimulus package to counter the effects of recession.

Hey Brian, how's everything going? I'm sure your life is busy with the house and ministry and whatever else God gives you, but glory to Him.

You haven't written lately and I do miss you writing.

Ok, here's my news; I'm blogging again. I have a new blog called "My Thoughts". I'll more readily post others writings, such is my first two posts. I have a couple of things I'm working on and hope to post soon.

I just wanted to tell you about my blog being up. The first two posts are by Kim Clement and Bill Yount, I got them through The ElijahList. If you pay much attention to twitter, then you've already seen them advertised. ttyl

God bless you and your fam
Know that Colleen and I love you & miss you

Brian, I'm in the hole you've just described and have been for the last two days. I don't know exactly what put me here or how to get out, I'M STUCK. I know that I'm supposed to give this up, lay it at the feet of Jesus, but I can't seem to make myself obey the simplest command. I'm off, I don't know where I am, where is my center, why am I so far off balance, is something going to happen that I'm not ready for, is it time for me to die, did I cross a line that I didn't see, have I committed the unforgivable sin?
I'm sure it's wrong for me to even think such things. God is perfect, He doesn't make mistakes. Well, I look at me and my life and what I've done and been through and it makes me wonder. Could I be the flaw in His Perfect Plan?
I'm sure I'll see a rainbow soon, but right now I can't see a thing.

Wesley

BYW Happy Birthday Brian

"But a lowly servant with no permanent platform, no big books deals, and in the eyes of some… not even a REAL Pastor… just some part time hack…"

Brian, I want to encourage you with some love. You know who you are and the call God has on your life. You know the importance you play in the lives of many, many, many others. You understand that you are probably the only Jesus some will ever see. This causes your to heart melt and pushes you to make those extra steps to get things done.

I want you to understand how important you are to our God and to the plan He's putting together. You're important to the people God's put in your path.

You may not see it, but think about how many people you see every week. Think about how much love you show them. Think about how much of God's Word you speak to those who need to hear it. Isaiah 55:11 says, His Word doesn't return unto Him void, it goes where He sends it and does what He sends it to do.

Brian, know that when you're doing the hotdog thing on Thursday's or preaching or teaching, you are doing what God put you here to do. Brian, I imagine many books of remembrance have been written about you and what you're doing for Him.

God bless you and your family Brian
Colleen and I love you

PS Colleen and I would really love to have you and your wife at our wedding. I don't mean to push, I just wanted to echo the invitation Colleen gave you. Hey, if our Father wants y'all here, He'll make the way.

Brian, 1 Cor says, God chose the foolish things to confound the wise and the weak to confound the mighty.
Phil 4:13 I can do all through Christ which strengthens me. Amen.

Yeah I agree with that. And actually at first it would bug me... but over the years I have discovered its really pretty cool to influence a situation or direction and people not even realizing you had influence on them.

I have I dont mind being the fuel. Usually anyway. :)

I just wish I didnt like some sins so much. It sure would be easier. :)

Thanks David. I agree, ministry IS messy. But wow its exciting to watch God work though it and in it. And I only feel like quiting a few times a year... Usually right after God has done some amazing thing... OR right BEFORE he does. Crazy how that works sometimes.

Hey Colleen,
Yeah I know the language was offensive. But that was the point, to try and help the reader begin to feel the mode and experience what we experienced. It was pretty offensive to experience first hand too. But you already know that, just restating what you said. :)

I add the date to my calendar... but no promises. My schedule is PACKED with the house Im building and things Im doing at the church. But maybe it will be a good weekend get-a-way for me and the wife.
